Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup dijon mustard or 4 teaspoons dried mustard
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/2 tablespoon tamari / Bragg’s liquid aminos
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 pounds Seitan, cut the seitan into twelve 1/2″ – 3/4″ thick triangles.
- Vegan Gravy, warmed
Directions
- Lightly oil a 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
- Which the oil, mustard, tahini, tamari, water, thyme, sage, and pepper in a bowl to blend.
- Coat the seitan in the marinade and then place in the prepared dish, overlapping slightly.
- Pour the remaining marinade over the seitan.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour and up to 1 day.
- Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Bake the seitan uncovered for 15 minutes, or until the marinade is absorbed and the seitan is heated through and golden brown.
- Transfer to plates and pour the gravy over to serve.
